Notable Changes
Dodge has collaborated with Alfa Romeo to launch the 2024 Dodge Hornet. Many improvements have been made to the new model, including slimmer exterior headlights, a restyled front grille, a redesigned rear bumper, and widened tail lamps.
Performance
The standard AWD GT model has a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The plug-in hybrid R/T model has a 1.3-litre turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor and a 15.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. Enjoy 285 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. This model also has an all-wheel drive. The fuel tank size is approximately 51 litres.
Technology
The 10.25-inch colour touchscreen infotainment system is a standard feature, offering Stellantis’ premium Uconnect 5 platform. The instrument panel includes a reconfigurable TFT screen. The surround-sound audio system comprises six speakers and voice activation features for voice and audio options. The Dodge Hornet also offers USB, Bluetooth, AM/FM and satellite radio, a standard in-car Wi-Fi network for iOS and Android devices. Keyless Entry and Keyless Start technology is also provided.
Design Elements
The sleek exterior is enhanced with 17-inch alloy wheels, all-season tires, and LED complex-surface headlights with automatic high beams. Both trims are identical in size, measuring 178 inches long by 82 inches wide, although the GT is 0.6 inches higher. The door mirrors are power-adjustable and include a heat setting.
Choose from a range of interior colour schemes. Seating can be upholstered in cloth or synthetic leather. The asymmetrical rear seating is designed in a split-bench format. The GT model offers a larger cargo space of 27,000 litres, while the hybrid model has 22,900 litres of cargo capacity.
The telescopic steering wheel is height-adjustable. The rearview mirror has an auto-dimming function, and the climate control system offers dual-zone air conditioning. The automatic windshield wipers include a rain-sensing feature, and the trunk has a standard remote control function.
Safety Features
Seven airbags are located throughout the vehicle. The standard safety features include an Anti-Collision System, Blind Spot Monitor, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Rolly Stability Control, and a Hill Holder function. The Dodge Hornet also includes a Low Tire Pressure Monitor system. Additional safety features are available, such as LED automatic high-beam headlights and a Parking Assistance system, including rear, radar and camera parking assistance.
